Supplies and Consumables for Your Shop

Description
Consumables are essential to keep your DIY projects moving. Here, you’ll learn about choosing blades and abrasives, as well as tapes, caulk and adhesives. We'll also talk about fasteners, paints, stains, and more.
If you're just starting a workshop or a DIY kit, you might focus on tools like saws, drills, and hand tools. But you may have overlooked another key element of your shop: consumables and supplies. Unlike a saw that can last for decades, consumables are an ongoing expense, and there is often a dizzying array of options. It can be hard to know what kind of blades, screws or glue to buy.

In this course, we'll focus on shop supplies and consumables. First, we talk about choosing blades and abrasives. Next, you'll learn about types of tape, caulk and adhesives and when to use each. We'll also talk about fasteners, joiners, paints, stains, solvents, and other shop supplies.

By the end of this course, you’ll learn:

How to choose the right supplies for your project.
When to upgrade to a higher-cost product.
Some tips and tricks for using shop supplies.
