If you have a cell phone, tablet or other device, there's a good chance you have a charger (or several) in your living room. with cords draped to the table or arm of the couch to charge your phone. When we set out to replace our end tables in our living room, we also wanted a wireless charger to cut down on the cords and clutter. The built-in contact charger adds function without distracting from the beauty of the table. To charge a phone, simply set the phone on the charging circle.

We made it from plywood and tempered hardboard, and then covered it with adhesive-backed walnut veneer. For a couple hundred dollars, you can make a matching pair.
